Fall

We had a busy Fall, so busy that I didn't have time to blog(excuses, excuses!). Here are some highlights from the months of October and November.

We traveled to Seward, NE, to attend Homecoming at our alma mater and to visit the recently relocated Smith family. We had a great time reconnecting with friends and visiting with the Smiths.

Harvest time!

Evie loves her cousins!

We stopped in Concordia, MO, on the way home to visit Mommy's friends.

Aunt Sara and good friend Suanne(Murray State alumna) came down from Milwaukee for Murray State's Homecoming. Here are Evie and Sara at the parade.

Getting ready to go to dinner. Evie must have missed the memo about wearing a black shirt and jeans.

The girl loves bags and shoes...

especially the mismatched variety!

We had a great visit with Grandma and Grandpa Schroeder the end of October. Grandma knit the cute poncho Evelyn is wearing!

Our little candy corn!

Happy Halloween!

We were debating between a turtle and Flapper costume. In the end, the Flapper won out.

Getting ready to go trick-or-treating with baby Ryan.

Needless to say, Evie caught on to trick-or-treating very quickly!

Evie with friends Keziah and Chalmers.

In the midst of the traveling and company, Evie found time to help Daddy build a patio

and watch lots of Husker games!

Our little Evelyn reached the 18-month mark the end of October! Physically, she weighs 21#14oz and is 32 inches. Her energy is limitless, as is the amount of joy she brings us. Her sense of humor leaves us laughing while her strong will brings us to our knees asking for patience and wisdom. Currently, her favorite activities are reading, doing puzzles, filling her babydoll stroller with anything and everything and pushing it around, snacking, building towers, pretending to talk to Papa on the cell phone, dusting with her baby wipes, and 'helping' Mommy and Daddy with household chores. She daily requests to wear jeans and gets upset when we put her in anything else. Crazy, huh?! Evelyn is an absolute joy and we thank God for her!
