Happy 2nd Birthday, Evelyn!

The birthday girls: Evelyn and Keziah, our pastor's daughter

"Will anyone notice if I sneak one of these cookies?"

The birthday girl was a little overwhelmed during the gift opening.

Happy Easter!

And she's off...

We loved having Grandma and Grandpa Helvey here to celebrate Easter with us!

We enjoyed watching Evie at the hunt. She caught on to the concept very quickly. However, she would only pick up an egg if she liked the color. At the end, she had a basketful of pink and purple eggs!

Other Spring happenings in the Schroeder household...

Uncle Chris and Daddy competed in the first annual Murray half-marathon the weekend before Easter. Annamarie and Evelyn were very proud of their daddies - and rightfully so!

Nothing better than Strawberry Shortcake!

We have had a very wet spring. In fact, we had numerous severe storms for a span of about two weeks in April. We are very thankful to have sustained no damage. The rainbow was a welcome sight after all the storms. Such a powerful reminder of God's promise! If you look closely at the second picture, you will notice that it was a double rainbow!

Grandma and Grandpa Schroeder came down the last weekend in April to celebrate Evelyn's second birthday.

New dishes

and a new table to go with her kitchen. The girl is set!

Evelyn spends countless hours

arranging

and rearranging her dishes and food.
She was in heaven having Grandma and Grandpa here to play with her around the clock!

They even found time to read books in between all of their "meals!"

She's getting so big!

Only in Kentucky...
