Four Months Old

I cannot believe our baby is four months old. I have been telling people that I don't want her to get any bigger, but I must say, we have had so much fun watching Evelyn discover new things about herself and the world around her. The other day she reached for something - Daddy's nose, nonetheless - for the first time. There was so much celebrating going on you would have thought the Huskers won the National Championship! No telling what we may do when she rolls over, which should be soon, or takes her first step. We are so very blessed! Thanks be to God for this precious gift!

A visit from Grandma and Grandpa Helvey

My parents came to visit us last weekend. We were able to fit quite a bit into their short two day stay. We explored the Land Between the Lakes area - something we'd been wanting to do for some time, but hadn't yet done. Evie enjoyed being spoiled by another set of grandparents. She told us she could get used to having a set of grandparents here every other weekend!

Evelyn has discovered her bottom lip. She loves sucking on it!

A visit from Grandma & Grandpa Schroeder and a trip to Sedalia, MO

Tim's parents spent a few days with us the beginning of this month. Evelyn loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa (we all did!). Following their visit, we traveled to Sedalia, MO, to introduce Evelyn to her Great-Grandma, and some of Grandma Bev's relatives. As evidenced by all the smiles in the pictures, Evelyn enjoyed meeting everyone, and looks forward to a return visit!

I would write 'Nerd Alert', but since it was my idea to have them pose with Lewis and Clark...

Do I make you anxious to have a little one of your own, Rebecca?? :)

Breakfast with our friends from Concordia, MO. Evie enjoyed meeting Sandy and Lily for the first time, and seeing Renee and Karen again!

"Aunt Jessica, I love you this much..." Evie was excited to see Grandma and Grandpa Helvey and Aunt Jessica when we passed through St. Charles on our way to Sedalia.

Evie's first golf outing

We have been wanting to take Evie to the golf course for some time, but held off due to the heat and fear that we may get frowned upon for bringing an infant to the course (not sure what golf etiquette has to say about that :). We decided to give it a try last Friday afternoon. Thankfully, the course was empty, and Evie was very cooperative(her golf game left a little to be desired, but that's another story :). She slept in my arms in the cart half of the time, and was very content when she was awake. We're hoping to get out there again soon!

Mommy had a little fun with Evie earlier in the day before we went to the course.

Three months old!

We are amazed that Evelyn is already 3 months old! We are having so much fun watching her develop. She discovers something new about herself or her surroundings nearly every day. We even heard a small giggle the other day. What a sweet, sweet sound!
