Grandma and Grandpa Schroeder came down mid April to celebrate Evelyn's first birthday. As you will notice in the pictures, Evie didn't enjoy her cake, but she sure enjoyed everything else about the visit!

Evelyn always seems to find her way to anyone who is eating chocolate, so we figured she was going to dig right into her cake. Not so much. She tentatively tried a little bit, but as soon as she got icing on her fingers, she was done. 
A testament to Mommy's baking ability???

Evie much preferred reading books with Grandma and Grandpa to cake eating.

Grandma and Grandpa Helvey came to celebrate with Evelyn the following weekend. Once again, she didn't enjoy her cake, but she loved being spoiled by another set of grandparents!
I was thrilled that my Mom was able to join us at the Mother-Daughter Tea at our Church.
