Summer Fun

Grandma bought Evelyn her first umbrella.

Evie LOVES swimming. She was somewhat hesitant in the water last summer, so we didn't know how she would respond to swimming lessons this year. She has turned into a little fish, with very little fear of the water!

Evie decided Daddy needed a "bam-bam", too.
Evie likes her new tricycle. Mommy and Daddy will like it more once she grasps the concept of steering!

Mornin' Sunshine!

Laura and Mary Ingalls! :)

The only picture I was able to capture on Father's Day. We love you, Daddy!

I LOVE this picture of these two. I also LOVE the authentic Busch Stadium seats. No, they are not ours.

Evelyn LOVES to carry around purses. She insisted on bringing three purses along when we went out to dinner one evening! Lately, she insists on paying when she goes shopping with me. Here she is attempting to pay for our Bed, Bath & Beyond purchase with one of her 'credit cards.' Watch out, Daddy, this girl likes to shop!

Evie with Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Nau (my grandparents) and cousins Marc and Madeline
We were thrilled that my parents and grandparents and niece and nephew were able to come down for the day!

A trip to Seward, NE

We traveled to Nebraska over Memorial Day weekend to attend the wedding of Tim's cousin. We decided to extend the trip just a bit to include a brief stay in St. Charles with my family and a night in Manhattan, KS, with Chris, Kendra, Annamarie and Luke. Tim, Evelyn, and I, as well as the entire Schroeder clan, stayed at Michelle and Devin's house in Seward. That's right, all 18 of us, in one house!! We were thankful for the time with family, especially since we are unable to make it up to Wisconsin this summer.

Mommy and Daddy ordered a JR, the Sonic worker brought us a LARGE. Someone was very happy!

Leaving the Little Apple

The Smiths gave Evelyn this cute apron set for her birthday.

The girls apparently were not in the mood for picture taking.
Disclaimer: Kendra and I purposefully coordinate the girls' outfits on most occasions. This time, however, we randomly packed the exact same dresses for them to wear!

Wedding time!!

Evelyn was much more interested in playing outside than being inside at the reception!

She did manage to do a little dancing, though!

Aunt Sara and Sammy busting a move.

It was a beautiful wedding, but unfortunately, I failed to get a picture of the bride and groom! Congratulations, Philip and Adeline!

Luke and Uncle Timmy playing some baseball in the Smith's backyard. Those two are best buds!

We stopped in Sedalia, MO, on our drive home to visit with Great-Grandma Fisher.

Time to get caught up

Summer at the Schroeder household has been quite a whirlwind! As I begin this series of posts (Saturday, July 23), we are 10 short days away from the scheduled date of Baby Cheetoh's c-section (Tuesday, August 2)! I have been feeling really well, so I was surprised to learn at my doctor's appointment last Thursday, that I am 3 cm dialated! We'll see if we make it to the 2nd...

Tim taught a summer class the month of June, so for a change, we have done very little travel this summer. We've managed to stay plenty busy, though, with projects around the house and the never ending, but always enjoyable, task of chasing around a two-year old.
I will try to post pictures of Tim's many accomplishments around the house soon!
