Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, friends and family! I love you all!

Mommy thinks I look like my Daddy in this picture. What do you think?

"Can I please take this dress off now?"

I guess she meant business...

Olympic Fever

Someone in this house has Olympic fever...

We came into the Living room Saturday morning and saw that Evelyn had done this with her rings

"When does the Biathlon start, Daddy?"

9 Months Old

Hard to believe, huh?! Here are some statistics from her appointment:

Weight: 18#5oz

Height: 27 3/4 in

Personality: Strong-Willed - according to her doctor (this after Evelyn very persistently tried to grab her stethoscope, otoscope and tongue depressor)

As you can see, it's getting very difficult to get a picture of her with the sign. Paper is one of her favorite things, along with cords, computers, phones, remotes, and a host of other items... Pretty much anything that is not a "baby toy." She keeps us on our toes, and we love every minute of it!

Evie is clapping. Yeah!!

So, yesterday I was singing along to a country song and being all animated, of course, (don't worry, Evie and I were the only ones present)and I look down at Evie and she is clapping. Not just one clap, but clapping like it's old hat. This is a first for her, so I was pretty ecstatic! Here is a video we captured later that evening. As always, disregard the background voices.

Something about bad weather and this time of year...

This was the view from our deck one year ago...

No ice this year, thankfully. However, we did get a substantial amount of snow - for Kentucky. A storm of this magnitude would have hardly made the news in Milwaukee, but 5 inches is BIG TIME in Kentucky. Evie didn't get out to play in it, but it sure did look pretty.

Remember this picture from the ice storm of the century??? Good times.

A visit from Grandpa Helvey and Cousin Ian and Racer Basketball

We enjoyed a visit from my Dad and Nephew a few weeks ago. Evie loved the time with Grandpa and Ian!

Evie looking like a true Kentuckian with those boots!
